Emogene Stoneking Obituary

Emogene M. Stoneking, 94, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on April 15, 2024.

She was born and raised in Leavenworth, KS and was united in marriage to Robert Stoneking Sr. on March 15. 1954 and recently celebrated their 70th anniversary.

Emogene graduated with the class of 1948 from Immaculata High School.  She was a den mother for cub scouts and helped with the brownies and girl scouts.  Emogene dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending hours with them using the utmost patience in reading or playing with them and their toys of the time.  She had worked as a bookkeeper for several companies over the years; including one of which owned several McDonalds franchises before retiring in 1994.

 Survivors include:  

Her husband, Robert Stoneking, Sr. of the home.

Two sons, Robert Stoneking, Jr. of Bonner Springs and Ted Stoneking and wife Penny of Ottawa, Ks. 

One daughter, Patty Pasley of Lawrence, KS.   Bonus Daughter in law, Vicki Stoneking of Olathe, KS.   

Three grandchildren, Amber Vandegrift and husband Jared of Gardner, KS. 

Joel Pasley of Kansas City, MO 

Jason Stoneking and wife Christy of Topeka, KS

Bonus grandson, Jamie Enoch and wife Cynthia of Spring, Texas. 

Bonus granddaughter, Angie Uden of Lenexa, KS

Eight great grandchildren; Addyson, Jaxon, Jace, Lakyn, Tymber, Emilia, Miami and Henry. 

One brother, Charles Albrecht Jr. of Leavenworth, KS. 

One nephew, Carl Albrecht and wife Jyl

One niece, Danielle Costanza

Several great nieces and nephews     

The family extends thanks to the entire staff for the excellent care Emogene received at the Hillside Village of Desoto.  Thanks also extended to the caring staff of Ascend Hospice.

Emogene was a member of the Edwardsville Christian Church.                                                                       

A service will be held on April 28, 2024, at the Edwardsville Christian Church. Visitation at 11:30 am followed by a memorial service at 12 p.m.
