Larry A. Priddy, Sr.

Larry Allen Priddy Sr., aged 79, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023. Born on June 10, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas, Larry was the son of the late Maggie and Floyd Priddy and brother to his four sisters, Peggy Nitchals, Patricia Griffen, Janet Scraggs and Cheryl Priddy. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Larry’s indomitable spirit and enduring love for his family defined his remarkable life.

Larry is predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda, his cherished daughter, Marie, and three sisters; Patricia, Janet, and Cheryl. He leaves behind an enduring legacy through his surviving family: sons Larry Jr. (Kristi) and Lenny (Trisha); daughters Cynthia Leath Howlett (Josh) and Stephanie Rowe Lee (Nick); as well as numerous adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Larry was a man of many complexities, and his personality provoked strong feelings in those who knew him. While he leaves behind a family who will remember him in their ways, it is clear that his life had an indelible impact on his loved ones.

A visitation to honor Larry Allen Priddy Sr. will be held at Amos Funeral Home on September 25, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 am. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am, also at Amos Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service ceremony at Shawnee Memorial Gardens, 23215 W 75th St, Shawnee, KS 66227.
