Virginia "Jean" Rose (Wielgosz) Anderson

Virginia “Jean” R. Anderson, 82, passed away peacefully at home on October 29th, 2022. She was born on September 21st, 1940 to Victor and Rosalie Wielgosz in San Francisco, California, and had a younger sister Rose Marie (Ed) Shuck. She is preceded in death by her husband James L. Anderson and a daughter Julie Fischer. She is survived by her four children Cindy Wymer, Daniel (Manuel) Fischer, Brandon (Tiffany) Anderson, and Erin (John) Kroh; grandchildren Miranda, Dylan, Alex, Lauren, Jordyn, Hunter, Tanar, Jameson, and Lilly; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her greatly.

Jean was a giver of her time and resources, and was involved in many different organizations such as Camp Fire, Boy Scouts, the VFW, and the Johnson County Christmas Bureau to name a few. She loved playing Bingo in her free time, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and loved to tell stories to anyone who would listen.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 with a funeral service at 2 pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. For those unable to attend, Jean's service will be livestreamed. Please click here to view the livestream of her service.
