Ada C. Arnold, 89, made her transition peacefully on December 8, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. Sister Arnold was born February 12, 1925 in Concordia, Missouri to William and Eltor Collins. Throughout her lifetime, Sister Arnold was a Member of the First Baptist Church (Kansas City, Kansas), Highland Baptist Church (Kansas City, Missouri), and Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church (Kansas City, Missouri). Sister Arnold is survived by her sisters; Virginia (Donald) Sewing, Esther (Dezo) McGill, brother, Rev. Elisha "Arthur" (Fredel) Collins, son, Arvey (Vilene) Andrews, spiritual daughters; Sandra Lee and Monice Lovelace, spiritual son, Rev. David (Mary) Jones and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Sister Arnold was preceded in death by her parents, and nine other siblings.

Services

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Monday, December 15, 2014, 12:00 Noon at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 3940 Prospect Ave. Kansas City, Missouri 64130. Phone number 816-924-5393. The service will be officiated by Rev. Donald Givens. Also speaking will be Rev. Albert Collins and Rev. Elisha "Arthur" Collins; with the presiding minister as Rev.
