Addie Kathleen Freyermuth

Addie Kathleen (Hord) Freyermuth, 92, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Addie Kathleen was born December 1, 1920, in Warsaw, Missouri, to Clayton and Kate Hord. She moved to Kansas City in 1939 and worked as a bookkeeper for Columbian Steel Tank and Zarda Bros. Dairy before retiring from Hodgdon Powder Co.

She treasured time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her endless energy, smile and concern for others. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee.

Addie Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Freyermuth on August 14, 1991. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Reiff and her husband, Steve, Naperville, Illinois; two sons, Richard Freyermuth and Ron Freyermuth and wife, Dianne all of Shawnee, Kansas; and six grandchildren. As matriarch of her family she will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Shawnee; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery.
