Agnes Beverly Swearingen

Agnes “Bev” Swearingen, age 80 of Overland Park, KS, passed away on March 23rd, 2021. She was born in Harrisonville, MO on Jan. 8, 1941 to Charles and Cecilia Stephenson. She spent her life in the Kansas City Area. Bev was a long-time member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed spending time with family, travelling, all types of crafting, and took great pleasure in feeding and naming the types of birds at her feeder where she often joked that the neighborhood squirrels were well-fed. She leaves behind her husband, James, of the home, her sons, Brian (Debbie) of Shawnee, and Kevin (Kim) of Denver, and four dearly-loved grandchildren; Jacob, and Philip (KS), Katie and Emily (CO), her brother, Tim Stephenson of Harrisonville, Sister-in-law, Poe Schell of Holts Summit, as well as several nieces and nephews who will forever remember their “Aunt Bee”, and many extended family members and friends. She will be dearly missed. Funeral Services will be held Sat. April 10, at Amos Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, KS 66203. Visitation 1pm, Service 2pm. Memorial donations may be made to Beta Sigma Phi. 1800 W. 91st Place. KCMO 64114.
