Alan Michael Maxville

Alan Michael Maxville, 16, of Shawnee, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 16, 2012, at his home.

Alan was born October 18, 1995, to Marty and Beth Maxville in Merriam. He was a junior at De Soto High School where he played baseball, basketball and played alto saxophone in the marching band. Alan was an active member of the Shawnee Church of the Nazarene Youth Ministries and assisted with services on Sunday mornings. He enjoyed spending time at his grandparent's farm four wheeling, fishing, hunting, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Alan is survived by his loving parents Marty and Beth Maxville; two sisters, Ashley Keese and husband Mike, and Melissa Flory and husband Michael; maternal grandparents, Don and Barbara Wrightsman; three uncles Brian Wrightsman and wife Joleen, Kevin Wrightsman and wife Amy, and Paul Maxville; an aunt, Kandi Hansen and husband Jason; and numerous cousins and friends.

Alan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Howard and Florence Maxville; his uncle Joe and aunt Joanne.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the Shawnee Church of the Nazarene, 5539 Quivira Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66216. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the church. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shawnee Church of the Nazarene in memory of Alan.
