Alpha Mae Darnell

Alpha Mae Darnell passed away on June 25, 2013. She was born on December 26, 1917, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Alpha and Amos T. Davis, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank and brother Amos Tinsley, Jr. Alpha is survived by her daughter, Mary VanNieuwenhuyse (Bill); two sons, Tom Darnell (Carol) and Richard Darnell (Joan); two brothers, Larry Davis (Lou) and Bob Davis (Jean); five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Alpha Mae was a member of Bristol Hill United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:30 Monday, July 1 2013 at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A graveside service will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, Kansas at 12:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank Grace Hospice for their loving care and support during Alpha Mae's final stages of cancer.
