Alvinia Axford

Alvinia Axford, 85, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2016 in Osceola, MO.

She was born on November 21, 1930 in Bayard, Nebraska. In June of 1949, she married the love of her life, Lew Axford. They were married 67 years and had 4 children, Christy Allen (David), Andrew Axford (Lisa), Katherine Robello (Doug), Jonathan Axford (Karen); 6 grandchildren, Jason Nofire, Jessica Nofire, Katryna Axford (deceased), Caleb Hall, Alexander Axford, Rebecca Axford, and 2 great-grandchildren Melinda and Corinne Nofire.

She loved to sing and was a member of Sweet Adelines for 55 years. She was also an avid gardener and shared her passions with family and friends. Alvinia loved to watch Royals baseball games and Jayhawk basketball. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be at 10 am on July 9th at Lenexa United Methodist Church with services beginning at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
