Amelia Roene "Amy" Cox, 73, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.
Amelia was born September 21, 1940, in Orange, California, to Walter Mason and Leona Farmer. On January 3, 1958, Amelia married Cecil Cox.
Amelia is survived by her husband, Cecil Cox; daughter, LeAnn Sines, Linwood, Kansas; three sons, Alan Cox, Shelby Township, MI, Bart Cox, Linwood, Kansas and Brad Cox, Paola, Kansas; sister, Louise Alterman, Tonganoxie, Kansas; three brothers, Frank Farmer, Warsaw, Missouri, Gene Farmer, Paola, Kansas, and Woody Farmer, Warsaw, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Cassie VanBuskirk, Seth Sines, Aaron Cox, Sierra Cox, Cordell Cox, Emma Cox and Claire Cox; and one great granddaughter, Iva VanBuskirk.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013, also at the funeral home. Burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Ozark, Arkansas.
