Anita Ray Dean, 53, Shawnee, KS (formerly of Crocker, MO) passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021 in Miami, OK.
Anita was born in Charleston, IL Feb. 6, 1968 to James and Wilma Row-land. She was a 1986 graduate of Crocker High School. She had recently started her career in cosmetology as a traveling esthetician.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Burnett, Wilma Burnett and James Rowland, uncle, Clyde Armes, grandparents, David and Mattie Armes, and loved one, Rick Helton. She is survived by her many loved ones including, but not limited to, children, Lindsey (Kamau) Thompson, Joseph (Molly) Dean and Matlin Dean; brothers, Jimmy (Michelle) Rowland, Jerry (Marsha) Burnett, Eddie (Laura) Fritchey, and Jeffery (Tracie) Martin; sister, Jeannie (Guy) Pumphrey; step-mother, Wanda Rowland; and six grandchildren, Dennis Payne, III, Freddie Payne, Charlie Dean, IV, Lewis Thompson, Adelee Payne, and Ashton Dean.
Many hearts will be broken with a big hole that she leaves behind because of her giant personality. She was described as a force to be reckoned with, possessing a hysterical laugh and abundant compassion for others.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Cremation.
