Ann Marie Peters

Ann Marie Peters, 88, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away June 19, 2010, at Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Ann was born in Quincy, Illinois, on January 22, 1922, where she met and marries Louis Peters. After marriage, they moved to Kansas where they raised their family. Ann’s life always revolved around her family and her church. She belonged to St. Joseph Church in Shawnee, and was involved in many volunteer activities before her decline. She always played a big part in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; and daughter, Kathleen. She is survived by her son, Jay (Kathy) Peters, of Lenexa; daughters, Jill (Ed) Scheffler, of Shawnee; and Sue (Bob) Hart, of Texas; five grandchildren: Steve (Michelle) Scheffler, of Shawnee, Dave (Sue) Scheffler, of Shawnee, Chris (Jenny) Scheffler, of Shawnee, Jeannie (Matt) Bolger, of Parkville, Missouri, and Jim (Lisa) Hart, of Texas; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311, Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
