Anna Jeanette Janesko

February 25, 1938 — October 10, 2020

Anna Jeanette (Anna Jean, Annie) Janesko, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Anna was born February 25, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas to Eldon and Orla (Bell) Brown. Along with her parents, she had two older brothers, Richard and Leroy who preceded her in death. She was a 1956 graduate of Argentine High School and served on the reunion committee for many years. Anna married her high school sweetheart, Richard Gary Janesko in Kansas City, Kansas on June 24, 1958. Gary preceded her in death on August 15, 2009.

Anna worked a variety of jobs in her younger years and then stayed at home to raise her children during the ‘60's and ‘70's. In the ‘80's she proudly attended Johnson County Community College and earned an associates degree in computer science. She then worked at Yellow Freight Corporate until retiring in 2000. Anna was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. She was also an active member of the Airstream Club of Kansas City and traveled extensively. She was an avid animal lover and a lifelong pet owner.

She is survived by her three children and their families, Dan and Leslee Janesko, daughters Jaycee and Allison, Gladstone, Missouri, John Janesko and sons, Alex and Stan, Kansas City, Missouri, and Jill and David Hyatt and son Matt and daughters, Stephanie and Katie, Amity, Missouri. Companion of 10 years, Bob George and his family of Baltimore, Maryland. Loyal canine companion, Fella.

In honor of our mom, take time to travel and see this beautiful world. And please, consider sharing your life with a homeless animal.

Visitation will be 10:30-12:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Graveside service will be private. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
