Marge's journey began as a devoted mother and housewife from 1953 to 1966, nurturing her family with love and care. She later embarked on a successful career at Montgomery Ward Credit Service Center, ultimately retiring from GE Capital in 1999. Her dedication to her work earned her various accolades and recognition throughout her illustrious career.
Beyond her professional achievements, Marge enriched her life through her passions. She was an avid reader, skilled at sewing, and enjoyed the challenge of puzzles and various crafts. Her commitment to community service was unwavering; she volunteered at her church pantry, the House of Hope, and often cooked for the homeless. As a member of the American Business Women Association, she held multiple offices and was honored as Woman of the Year by the Watts Mill Chapter in 2000.
Her leadership extended to guiding young minds as a Campfire leader for fifteen years. A faithful member of the Overland Park Christian Church for six decades, Marge found joy and strength in her faith. She was also a proud graduate of the Menninger Bible study. A breast cancer survivor, Marge's resilience inspired all who knew her.
Marge is preceded in death by her beloved parents Anna Eastman and Jesse James Sr., her brother Jesse James Jr., sister Sandra Pownall, husband James White, son Gregory White, and great-grandson River White. Her legacy lives on through her surviving family: daughters Christy Norton and Laurie White, son Christopher White, 11 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor and remember her spirit.
