Anne Sophia Harms passed away on December the 5th after a long decline in her health. Anne was born in Johannesburg in 1923 the eldest of seven children who are all deceased. She was married to Frederick (Bill) Harms in 1942, who died in 1996. Her three children, Frederick Harms, Valerie Griffiths, and Desmond Harms, survive her. One child Claudette is deceased. Anne is the grandmother of nine grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. She was an active member of the local Nazarene church in South Africa and missionary president for many years.
Anne was trained as a nurse but her main duty was to take care of her children, and serve others. She was a wise woman, kind and gave her children every incentive and encouragement to succeed.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday December 15, at 2:00 pm at Demdaco, 5000 W 134th St, Leawood, KS 66209 on the 4th floor.
