Anthony John Bernal Ii

Anthony John Bernal II, 35, of Shawnee, KS left to be in the arms of our Lord on March 2nd, 2015 while surrounded by family and friends.

Anthony was born in Shawnee, KS on April 8th, 1979, son of Anthony and Sharon Little Bernal. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and Shawnee Mission North High School. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, a Certificate of Completion from the American Musical and Dramatic Arts Academy in New York City, NY and received his Masters of Arts from the University of Missouri

Anthony was a son, big brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Most importantly, he was an entertainer and a student to the arts. His ability to light up a room with his gift of music and touch people’s lives was extraordinary. His memory will live on forever in all who had the pleasure to know him.

When you think of Anthony, please remember him for his love of life and music, his love for those around him and his faith in God. Celebrate him in your memories and live life as he did…to the fullest.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Anthony and Sharon Bernal, his sister Theresa Blaine, his nephew Daniel Blaine and niece Lexi Blaine, Paternal Grandparents Camilo and Jennie Bernal, Maternal Grandparents Ivan and Jean Little, Great Grandmother Carmen Richardson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday March 8, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 21801 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS, Monday March 9, 2015 at 10 a.m.

Donations may also be made to Theatre for Young America http://tya.org/theatre-for-young-america/about-us/donation/ in memory of Anthony (Tony) Bernal. Flowers may be sent to Amos Family Funeral Home prior to noon on Sunday, March 8th.
