Anthony (Tony) James Glickley, 56, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away, Friday, July 14th, after a very brief battle with leukemia.
Tony was born in Chicago, Illinois, May 22, 1961, to his late mother, Eleanor and father, Albert. He attended St. Kieran Catholic School in Chicago Heights, Illinois. After his family relocated to Lenexa, Tony finished elementary school at Holy Trinity Catholic School, then attended high school at Shawnee Mission Northwest.
Tony spent most of life devoted to the love of his sport and profession, bowling. He owned and ran Tony's Pro Shop for 27 years. He earned at least 8 "300" certificates for bowling perfect games. He was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association and is well known in the bowling community of Kansas City, as well as the national professional bowling community. His friends and clients would tell you that he had a passion for helping others enjoy the game of bowling as much as he did. Tony also liked to play the guitar, go fishing, and was a big Cubs, Royals, and Chiefs fan. To say there will be a great void in the Kansas City bowling community is an understatement. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
