Arnold Grossman

Arnold Grossman, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Arnold was born January 4, 1926, to the late Charles and Yetta Grossman in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York. Arnold served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his service, he attended the University of Syracuse and graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor's in Journalism.

Arnold was active at the Jewish Community Center, an avid cyclist, and enjoyed all types of music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bernard Grossman.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife Cindy, of 31 years; his daughter Jill Carroll; two grandsons, Tyler Carroll and PFC Casey Carroll, USMC; a sister, Ruth Berman; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Luke's Hospice, 3100 Broadway, Suite 1000, Kansas City, Missouri 64111; or to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue Kansas City, Missouri 64105.
