Arthur Eugene “Gene” Isaacson, 84 of Olathe, Kansas went home to be with his Lord and beloved “Dolly” on Monday, December 7, 2009 at his home - just 6 days prior to his 85th birthday.

Gene was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduating from Roosevelt High School prior to entering the Navy. Gene was a member of the Bloomington Police Department and spoke frequently of those years. He was a charter member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota and the Crosslake Evangelical Free Church. Gene and Dolly moved to the Kansas City area in 1997 and became active members of the Harvest Ridge Covenant Church. Gene is preceded in entering eternal life by “Dolly”, his bride of nearly 58 years.

Surviving this most giving and amazing man are a daughter, Bev Leedom (Dave) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a son, Steve Isaacson (Janalee) of Lenexa, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Jess Hubert of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Heather Berg (Kyle) of Lynnwood, Washington, and Anna Isaacson of Lenexa, Kansas. Gene was blessed to meet his great-grandson, Jorgen Berg of Lynnwood, Washington prior to his earthly death.
