Barbara Elaine (Wilde) Duggan of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022. She was born on July 17, 1928 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Percy and Myrtle (Worthington) Wilde. Barbara attended New Bedford  High School and New Bedford Business School. After graduation she worked at National Biscuit Company. Barbara married Arthur Richard Duggan on November 14, 1953 in New Bedford. They moved around frequently, living in New Mexico, Ohio, Iowa and Kansas. Los Alamos, New Mexico was her favorite place she had lived. Barbara loved spending time with her family, reading mysteries, watching operas, traveling, and cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs! She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1989.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary W. Duggan (Melinda) of Edgerton, Kansas, Russell A. Duggan (Angela) of Kearney, Missouri, and daughter Linda A. Honsicker (Dan) of Pittsburg, Kansas; eight grandchildren Nikki Mershman, Andrea Boatman, Michelle Duggan, Lindsey Honsicker, Sarah Garrett, Emily Blessant, Kate & Sam Duggan; 9 great-grandchildren Riley, Misha, Helena, Kelbey, Brody, Haley, John, Bentlee & Branton.

Her smile will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will take place at 10 am on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church -- 415 N. Pine Street, Pittsburg, KS. A brunch and time of fellowship will follow after the service.
