Barbara Jean Mardis

Barbara Jean Mardis, 74, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas.

Barbara was born May 17, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Shawnee Mission North High School. She enjoyed her work in the cafeteria at Trailridge Middle School. She was a fantastic cook, enjoyed crafts, reading, movies and time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mardis. Survivors include her three daughters, Debi (Mike) Grebenik, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Marsha (Abe) Petzel, Atlanta, Georgia and Christy (Tom) Fuller, Las Vegas, Nevada; son, Scott Fuller, Shawnee, Kansas; the father of her children, Max Fuller, Olathe, Kansas; sister, Betty (Jim) Wilson, Liberty, Missouri; brother, Bruce (Dottie) Rigdon, Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dole (Lindsley), Tosh (Ashlyn), Kristen, Taryn and Landon; five great grandchildren, Braeden, Ellery, Jax, Holland and Rooklan; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

A memorial open house will be 5:30-8:00 pm, Thursday, February 2 at 7101 Bond St., Shawnee, Kansas.
