Barbara Louise Thimmesch, 69, passed away on March 11, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.

Barbara was born March 28th, 1946 to William and Margaret Brohl. She graduated from Queen of the Holy Rosary Elementary School in Overland Park, KS and Colgan High School in Pittsburg, KS. She received a degree in Education from Pittsburg State and also completed Master Education courses from Kansas University.

Barbara taught elementary school in Kansas City, KS for 6 years. She enjoyed having made many acquaintances through her work in real estate sales, where she spent the past 35 years. Barbara enjoyed holidays and trips to the lake with the family.

Barbara married Carl in May of 1974, having been married for 41 years. They have 2 children; son Steven and wife Amanda Thimmesch and daughter Emily and husband Nicholas Davis. They have 6 grandchildren; Madison, Abigail, Jillian, and Landon Thimmesch and Tyler and Violet Davis. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter Amy who passed in 2012 and by her father. She is survived by her mother Margaret and her husband Carl.

Visitation and Services

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 16th at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 5500 Woodson, Mission, KS. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, March 15th from 6:30-8:00 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
