Barbara Ann Weber

June 19, 1924 — September 4, 2011

Barbara A. (Hula) Weber, 87, passed away September 4, 2011 at Garden Terrace of Overland Park. Barbara was born of Michael J. and Violet Gochenour Hula on June 19, 1924 in Plattsmouth, Neb.

She married Joseph A Weber on February 21, 1946 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sedalia, MO and later that year moved to Overland Park, KS.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joe; her parents, Michael and Violet; sisters, Frances Simon, Jean Devaney, Agnes Simon; her brother, Richard; and her great-grandson, Daniel Weber.

Barbara is remembered by her children, Dick (Marianne) Weber of Roeland Park, KS; Tom Weber of Carson, WA; Ron Weber (Rhonda) of Lenexa, KS; Diane Weber of Shawnee, KS; Dan (Kris) Weber of Shawnee, KS; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family rejoices that Barb is with the Lord and is now at peace.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, at the Amos Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive in Shawnee, KS. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A short service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, at Amos Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 83rd and Quivira, in Lenexa, KS.
