Benjamin M. Diaz

Benjamin M. Diaz age 81 of Basehor, Kansas passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born April 20, 1937 in Eskridge, Kansas the son of the late Antonio and Michaela (nee Martinez) Diaz. Mr. Diaz worked as a supervisor for the State of Kansas and was known as a hard worker and a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle. He was a very generous person who give anything you asked of him. He is the father of Benjamin (Joan) Diaz, Jr., Steven (partner Gregg Wyatt) Diaz, Penny (Jason) Taylor, Kathleen (David) Ritchie, LaDonna Diaz, Anthony (Amber) Diaz, Aaron (Nichole) Diaz, and the late Teresa Mary Diaz; dear brother of Helen (Arman) Estevez, Anthony (Juanita) Diaz, Beverly (Clara) Diaz, Fred (Marie) Diaz, and the late Jovan Diaz, Jesus Maria (Alberto) Quintero, Manuel Diaz, and Mary Robinson. Mr. Diaz is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and the mother of his children LaDonna Faye Barthuly Diaz. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Paxico, KS.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital.
