Bernard F. Rome, 76, of Overland Park, KS passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Trinity Nursing and Rehab.

Bernie was born December 8, 1938 to the late Peter J. and Sophia (Dreiling) Rome in Victoria, Kansas. He is a former member of the Benevolent Order of the Elks. Bernie retired from the grocery industry after 50 years of service in April of 2012, having most recently worked for Apple Market on Shawnee Drive in Kansas City, Ks.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Marvin P. Rome and a son, Anthony "Tony" Rome. Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Ann Rome of the home; a daughter, Lisa Crane; two brothers, Emery Rome and Elmer "Buddy" Rome; a sister, Edna Strecklein and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
