Bernice Stair

Bernice Lucille Eroh Stair, age 95, went to her heavenly reward on June 8, 2021 at Westchester
Village in Lenexa, KS. The daughter of Wellington and Ethel Hippensteel Eroh, she was born
August 4, 1925 in Hobbie, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Arthur
Leroy Stair, her parents, brothers Clifton and Donald, along with infant grandson Ronald D.E.
Stair.
While residing in Springfield, MO Bernice was a member of the Central Assembly of God
Church, also serving as an officer of the Evangel University Auxiliary at the local and national
level. While residing in Berwick, PA from the 1940’s to the mid 1960’s she was a member of the
Berwick Assembly of God Church and then became a member of the Binghamton, NY Assembly
of God Church in 1964 until moving to Springfield, MO in the early 1980’s. She served both
churches as a Sunday School teacher and Missions Coordinator. Throughout all her years she
was a full time parent, engaged grandparent, excellent cook and spotless housekeeper.
Mrs. Stair is survived by her son David Stair and wife Carol of Springfield, MO, daughter Susan
Stair Miller and husband Tom of Lenexa, KS, daughter Carolyn Stair Madison and husband
Randall of Lenexa, KS. She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Pamela Stair Calvin,
David P. Stair, Shana Miller Foley, Jodie Miller Bonham, Ariana Miller Martin, Adrienne
Madison-Oliver and Randall Drew Madison.
Great-grandchildren surviving Bernice are Ana and Mishelle Woods; Devin, Reaghan and
Dawson Stair; Lauren, Carson and Ella Foley; Rhys, Ethan and Liam Martin; Roan and Isla Bonham and Eliza Drew
Madison.
A private family internment service will be held at Klingner-Cope Rivermonte in Springfield, MO
on June 17, 2021.
