Bertie Allen Hague

Bertie Allen Hague, 88, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010.

He was born on October 23, 1922, to the late Levi and Eva Hague in Half Rock, Missouri. He was one of fifteen children. Allen was an Army World War II veteran. He retired from the City of Merriam in 1992. He was a lifetime member of Shawnee American Legion Post #327.

Allen is survived by his wife, Jean Hague, of the home. They were married 64 years. He is also survived by children, Gary Hague of Warsaw, Missouri, Rayma Hatt of Basehor, Kansas, Larry and Debbie Hague of Shawnee, Kansas, Ronnie and Judy Hague of Lawson, Missouri, and Joyce and Dennis Dickerson of Shawnee, Kansas; 9 surviving brothers and sisters; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Marie Bender, brothers, Max Hague, Dale Hague, J.L. Hague and sisters, Helen Hague and Devona Greener.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice, 2900 NE 60th Street, Suite 150, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
