Betty Jean Aldridge

Betty Aldridge, 85, of Spring Hill, KS passed away on February 8th, 2020. Betty was born on April 11th, 1934 in Kansas City, KS to Clyde and Rosie Campbell. As a young adult, Betty worked at National Beliss Hess as an order clerk. She went on to marry John Aldridge on August 17th, 1952 and has been married for 67 years. They lived in the Kansas City area for the majority of their life while raising seven children. Betty enjoyed painting, reading, music, dancing and loved babies. For a few years, she loved working at Jacobson's Apple Orchard making apple pies. In her free time, she would love to cook and bake for her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jim Aldridge; son-in-law, Rick Houghton; one brother and one sister. She is survived by her husband, John Aldridge; children, Betty Houghton, Kathy (Tom) O' Connor, Brian (Julie) Aldridge, Delora (Jeff) Overfield, Tracy (Tim) Schnagl, and Phillip Aldridge; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203 on Wednesday, Feb. 12th from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7 PM.

Memorial donations in Betty's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
