Independence, Missouri

Independence, Missouri - Betty M. Brumble, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 26, 2024. Betty was born on May 8, 1934, to William H. and Dessie M. (Wyrick) Fritchey in Seneca, Missouri.

Betty dedicated many years of her life to service, retiring from the Wyandotte County Courthouse where she served as an Administrative Assistant. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her unwavering devotion to her family.

A woman of boundless love and generosity, Betty prioritized her family above all else. She found solace and joy in the beauty of nature, often spending her free time gardening or taking leisurely walks outdoors. Additionally, Betty found excitement in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying regular visits to the casino and the thrill of slot machines.

Despite life's challenges, Betty maintained a positive outlook and rarely complained. She possessed a deep appreciation for the smaller moments in life and took great pleasure in reminiscing about her childhood, sharing her knowledge of the outdoors, and reading The Bible.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Dessie M. Fritchey, and her beloved husband, Charles W. Brumble. She is survived by her siblings Bonnie Bettis, Bill Fritchey, Buster Fritchey, and Bertha Hill.

Betty (Nonnie) leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her surviving children: son Robert K. and wife, Sue Hendrickson; daughter Rita J. Hester; and son Charles K. and wife, Trini Brumble. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Brian Hendrickson, Amy Gonzalez, Kimberly Canzonere, Jeremy Hendrickson, Phillip Kane Hendrickson, Stacey Jo Horner, Anthony Conklin, and Jessica Booth, along with her twenty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Betty's compassionate heart, steadfast spirit, and gentle demeanor touched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished and her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
