Betty Jean Burton, 84, formerly of Stilwell, Kansas passed away September 2, 2015 at Brookdale of Leawood. Betty was born in Stotts City, Missouri to William and Lorene Weise, raised in Mount Vernon, Missouri. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother. Prior to marriage and children, she worked for Southwestern Bell. After her children were grown, Betty went to work for State Farm until 1992. She was a member of Overland Park Christian Church and Blue Valley Quilters Guild. Betty is survived by her son, Jim (Lisa) Burton, two grandchildren, William and Katie Burton, sister, Phyllis Edwards. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Edwin back in January of 2015, daughter, Laura Susan Burton in 1993, brother, Harlan Weise.

Services

A Visitation will take place 10:00 -11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Overland Park Christian Church 7600 W. 75th Street Overland Park, Kansas 66204 with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
