Betty (Reinert) Koob was born Aug. 18, 1928 to the late Charles and Dorothy Reinert in Atchison, Kansas. Shortly after graduating from high school, she moved with her first husband to Los Angeles. She eventually obtained a job with the DEA and moved up to office manager. She later married her second husband, Barney Koob, and they moved to Virginia.
After her retirement from the government, she moved back to Kansas, settling in Shawnee. She has been a patient at Ascension Living/St. Joseph Place for several years, suffering from dementia. She passed away Friday, June 25, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Koob; her sister Carol Henderson; nephew Dennis; and nieces Diane and Juanita. She is survived by her two sisters, Darlene Reinert of Shawnee and Barbara Cleveland of El Dorado, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
After cremation, Betty will be buried next to Barney in Virginia
