Betty J. Maddux, 88, of Lenexa, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1st, 2015.

She was born on Aug. 8th, 1927 in Newton, KS to the late John and Elizabeth Reimer. She graduated in 1951 from Southwestern College and was a Lieutenant in the Women's Army Medical Corps becoming a Physical Therapist. She married Jack M. Maddux in 1978; he preceded her in death on January 16, 2008.

Survivors include her children, Becky Shalkoski, Cheri Sextro (Gary), John Maddux; a brother, Herbert Reimer (Phyllis); 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda McGehee.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5th at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6th at Village Presbyterian Church.

Memorial Contributions

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Breast Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
