Betty R. Rasmussen

Betty Cresswell Rasmussen, 83, died January 14th 2018 in her home in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband by her side. Betty was born on April 14th 1934 to Stewart and Blanche (Hoover) Porter, of Hesston.  She was preceded in death by her son Drew Cresswell. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Rasmussen, her brother Allen G. Porter of Alexandria, PA, Drew’s wife Jennifer and granddaughter Anna, her son David Cresswell, his wife Rosie and grandchildren Grace, Nora, Sean, Anthony, and Philip and two stepchildren Sallie Rasmussen, and David Rasmussen (Amy). She graduated from Juniata Valley High School in 1952 and worked at Swigart Associates Inc in Huntingdon. Betty later worked for Kemper Insurance for nearly 20 years in Kansas City and Chicago and had great joy in spending time with her grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, January 23rd at 10:00am at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Dr. Shawnee, KS 66203 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date.
