Betty M. Rosenau

April 26, 1929 — August 4, 2023

Betty M. (Hines) Rosenau passed away August 4th, 2023.  She was born on April 26th, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas, daughter of Oliver & Bessie (Perkins) Hines.

Betty grew up in the Morris Community of Kansas City, Kansas and lived her entire life near where she was born and raised.  In 1947, she graduated from Turner High School and went on to work in the office of International Paper Company upon graduation.  She was married to Fred Rosenau, long time State Representative.  Betty and Fred both loved to travel and did so each year.

In her free time, Betty enjoyed working with the children of the Morris 4-H Club and was a sewing leader as well.  She also worked many years in the 4-H Department of the Wyandotte County Fair.  Her door was always open to family and friends and her kitchen was a very special place to gather and share stories over a cup of coffee.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; son, Ken; sisters, Jeanette Kyle & Ruby Peck.  She is survived by her two children, Mark Rosenau & Rita (Mike) Sanders.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 9th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Amos Family Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am.  Burial at Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee, Kansas.

Memorial donations in Betty’s name may be made to Elara Caring Hospice or Full Faith City Church, 546 Harrison St, Kansas City, MO 64106.
