Beverly Jean Davenport

November 10, 1917 — February 5, 2017

Beverly Davenport, a long-time resident of Fairway, Kansas, passed from this life on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Blue Springs, Missouri. Born on November 10, 1917 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Grace (Hume) Snoddy, her brother Harold Snowdy, and her husband E. Guy Davenport. Beverly was well-known in the community as the co-founder, manager and owner of Lucy Lynn Pastry and Party Shop in Fairway, Kansas. She was a long-time member of the Overland Park Church of Christ, where she taught children's Bible classes and worked in the benevolence ministry. Later she was a member of Countryside Christian Church. Beverly was a member of PEO, the Pepperdine Associates and the Associated Women for Pepperdine. She is survived by her three children: David (Sally) Davenport of Burlingame, CA, Deborah Davenport of Blue Springs, MO and Doug (Pam) Davenport of Blue Springs, MO. She is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren and three beautiful great grandchildren (and one on the way). Beverly lived a full and rich life and has gone home to her Creator and Savior.

Services

There will be a Reception honoring Beverly and her life in the Fellowship Hall at Overland Park Church of Christ, 13400 W. 119th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66213, Friday, February 10, 2017 from 6:30 ~ 8:30 PM. There will be a family graveside service and the family requests no flowers.
