Beverly Ruiz

Beverly Ruiz, 78, Merriam, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center, Shawnee, Kansas.

Beverly was born February 8, 1934, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to John and Lulu Mae Curtin. In January 1971, Beverly started working in the radiology office at the University of Kansas Medical Center and retired in June 1996. She was a member of Bristol Hill United Methodist Church.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ruiz on February 8, 1993. Survivors include her son, Gary Ruiz, Harrisonville, Missouri; daughter, Denise Shannon, Shawnee, Kansas; two sisters, Mary Lewis, St. Joseph, Missouri and Judy Lyman, Chillicothe, Missouri; one grandson; four grandaughters; five great granddaughters and two great grandsons.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the funeral home; burial in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Kansas.
