Billy Dean Harris

On February 16, 2010, Billy Dean Harris went to be with his Lord in Heaven.

Billy was born September 24, 1954 at Seminole, Oklahoma to Fay and Wanda Pope Harris.

He grew up at Woodward, Oklahoma and graduated from Woodward High School in 1972. Throughout his illness, the class of 1972 was an enjoyable source of friendship and support to him and his family. He graduated from the Oklahoma City School of Business and Banking in 1973, and enjoyed a successful career in the banking industry. He retired in 2004 from Mid-America Payment Exchange, Kansas City, Missouri. While working for MPX, he traveled the United States giving seminars on banking regulations. Billy and Cheryl Lynn Kassin were married May 31, 1980 at Woodward, Oklahoma.

Billy is survived by Cheryl, their son Cory Blair Harris, daughter-in-law Lisa, their granddaughter Reilee Marie and grandson Connor Fay. Billy also leaves behind his parents of Woodward, Oklahoma; his sister Linda Evans and husband Dale of Hutchinson, Kansas; two nieces; two nephews; his brother-in-law Steven Kassin; mother-in-law Joan Bush; and father-in-law Gerald Kassin. He is preceded in death by his infant brother Gary Don Harris and his sister Brenda Louise Harris.

Memorial Service

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a memorial service on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, Woodward, Oklahoma.
