Bobby Gerald Coulter, 67, Shawnee, KS passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home. Bobby was born in Little Rock, AR December 18, 1949, to Lacy and Frances M. Coulter. Bobby was a lifelong resident of Shawnee Mission, Kansas area. Bobby graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1970. Bobby was stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Hornet CVS-12, the recovery ship for the Apollo 11 moon landing. He was a member of the American Legion Post, Peter Smith 327 and a member of the NRA. Bobby was employed with the Shawnee Mission Post Office as a letter carrier from 1970 until his retirement in 2012.

Linda was the love of his life. They had their first date when they were 14 years old. They went to the Aztec Theater in Shawnee, KS. That was the beginning of a lifelong love affair. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Coulter on June 7, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Frances Coulter; three brothers, Lacy, David, Kelly and sister, Sharon Yoder and their spouses. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friend, Jenny Haynes and many other friends.

Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; cremation to follow. Private interment in the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
