On Friday, January 29, 2016, our beloved Brandy Collette Yarnell Menzel lost her long fight to overcome addiction.

Brandy was born December 21, 1977, in Fairfax County, Virginia, and grew up in Shawnee Kansas. She loved Kansas State University and obtained BA and MA degrees from Baker University. Her daughter was her greatest joy in life.

Her loving survivors include her daughter, Brooklyn Menzel and parents Vicki and Bruce Yarnell, all of Shawnee, Kansas; grandparents Betty and Robert Gott of Manhattan, Kansas and Berna and Art Gable of Salina, Kansas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

We are thankful that Brandy no longer suffers and her infectious smile and wicked sense of humor will not be forgotten. We believe that her strength and love has already impacted hundreds and will be with us always.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 12-2 pm, Friday, February 5, 2016, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Graveside service at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Clyde, Kansas.
