On July 11th, 2021, Brent Edward Drabik became the hardest working angel in heaven. Brent passed away at the age of 51, losing his battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Becky; children T.J., Cassity, and Karley; his parents Ron and Linda Drabik; and sister Heather Green (Rob). He was preceded in death by his grandparents Al Erny, John and Cecilia Drabik, and John and Virginia Klenk; and by his aunt Yvette Erny and cousin Jimmy Erny.
Brent was an avid woodcrafter, hunter, and beekeeper. His passion for working with wood led to many beautiful creations including signs, pens, and bowls. He enjoyed deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting with his uncle and son. He was very proud of carrying on his grandfather’s hobby of beekeeping, caring for many hives over the years.
Many people knew Brent from his time as a Master Plumber with Lutz Plumbing, Inc. He had many repeat customers because of his honesty, integrity, and character. He was a friend to everyone he met and always ran into someone he knew. His welcoming personality attracted people because of how good he made them feel when they were around him.
He was happily married to his wife for over 28 years, but his proudest accomplishment was his three children. He spent many years and time with his son in boy scouts and took him hunting and fishing on numerous occasions. He was also active in his daughters’ high school marching band, wind ensemble, and was proud of their academic accomplishments which contributed to successful college careers. He was the most loving, caring, and proudest dad on earth.
Brent was diagnosed with head and neck cancer in January of 2021. He had an excellent team of physicians and nurses. There is no question that they used every resource and piece of knowledge within their powers to cure Brent, and later, to prolong his life. We are blessed and thankful for all of them. His cancer was fast moving and extremely aggressive, always being two steps ahead of his treatment. We are thankful that he has been set free from the many side effects of the treatments and the disease.
