Brent Garden, 61, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Nov. 17, 2015. He was born March 1, 1954 in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Robert E. III and Clara M (McFarland) Garden.

After graduation from Lyons High School, he married Victoria Brooks on Nov 22, 1975. They were married nearly 30 years. He worked in the grain industry for 3 decades before starting his 2nd career in the car business with Conklin Cars. He retired from there in August 2015. He loved his family; enjoyed cooking, reading, and useless trivia facts and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

Brent is survived by his daughters, Brandi Hughes (David) and Carmen Olah (Mark), sister, Nancy Marteney (Gary), sister-in-law, Ellen; former spouse, Victoria Garden; nephews, Kevin Marteney (Heather) and Jason Garden, niece, Megan Kannard (Justin). Grandchildren Caleb, Carsyn, Caden and Carter Hughes and Lacyann, Justin and Nicole Olah; and great-granddaughter, Chanelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bill.

Services

The memorial service will be Saturday, Nov 21st, 2 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home, Shawnee, KS with Pastor Mark Willis presiding.
