Brian Robert Dixon

Brian Robert Dixon, 57, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at his home in Merriam, Kansas.

Brian was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to Terry and Patti Dixon. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1983 and then received an Associate’s Degree from Johnson County Community College. Brian married Dana (Armstrong) in 2001.

Brian was a loving son, brother, uncle, and husband. He played baseball growing up and throughout high school and was an avid racquetball player for many years. He loved March Madness and watching KU basketball. He loved his family, his dog, and of course the Chiefs. He enjoyed attending his nieces and nephews’ extracurricular activities and even helped coach a few of their baseball teams. All of his nieces and nephews were his pride and joy and he had a special relationship with them.

Brian was always joking around and making people laugh. The love he had for his family (especially his nieces and nephews) was above and beyond. He was always praising his loved ones for their accomplishments and showed them how proud he was of them. He loved to clown around, do impersonations, and often would sing “Happy Birthday” like Marilyn Monroe for his family. He loved giving gag gifts for Christmas and just sitting around laughing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Dana; mother, Patti Dixon; sisters, Christi (Tom) Penland and Debbie Hawkins; brother, Scott (Devonna Searcy) Dixon; nephews, TC, Nate, Noah, Gabe and Zack; and nieces, Brooklyn, Brittany, Hannah, Allison, Addy, Naomi and Keira.

A memorial visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Amos Family Funeral Home.
