Brian Jeffrey Spiegel

Brian Jeffrey Spiegel, 38, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away in his
home in Kansas City, Missouri on April 23, 2023.

Brian was born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas graduating from Shawnee Mission Northwest. He
attended Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas. After school, Brian worked
for his uncle Hart Buck in his Town and Country painting business; this sparked his interest in home
remodeling. Brian spent nine years living a dream in northern California. He was supported by family
and many new friends. He returned to Kansas City and started a construction business with his
childhood best friend, Matthew Rich – Sunflower Construction which he loved being involved with.

Brian leaves behind his parents Michael and Nancy Spiegel, his brother Jon and sister-in-law Amanda, his
grandmothers Ernestine Dougherty and Gertrud Spiegel, his aunts and uncles, cousins, and dozens of
lifelong friends. Most of all, Brian loved his bullies – Owen and Bubba – more than anything in the
world.

Celebration of Life memorial will be May 20, 2023 at Amos Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas 4-6 p.m. If

to the KC Pet Project; Owen was a rescue dog.
