Cady Elizabeth Housh….aka Cady Lady, Cady Bug-“3″

Cady Elizabeth Housh just 16, passed away Sunday, November 9th, much too early for her young delicate years. Cady was the beloved daughter to Cathy and Stephen Housh and loving sister to Cole, Michael and Todd. She was born in Merriam, Kansas, on December 29, 1997. A belated Christmas gift to her family. Cady attended Piper Elementary originally and then relocated with her family to live in Falcon Ridge-Lenexa, Kansas. There she attended Manchester Park Elementary, Prairie Trail Jr. High, St. James Academy and then the last 2 years at Olathe Northwest High School.

Cady was an amazing daughter, sister, friend and teammate. All of her life she has participated in many sports, but soccer, to her opponents and brother’s chagrin, is where she was fearless. She started playing soccer at 3 with the Legends, then KC United-Rangers then returned to play with Tommy Howell’s KC Legends team as his favorite player…(if you asked her). Tommy would say that she knew the game better than most men, could read the field and pass the ball to her teammates with precision that all others envied. She maintained a cool exterior to the opposing team's pressure that immobilized them while as if in slow motion she got away leaving them in their tracks. Her basketball skills awed her audience and stumped the opposition that a small firecracker could out play them. While she loved basketball, she also knew that her 5’4″ frame, on a good day, made it a stretch to continue playing in high school. And after all there was soccer and boys.

Cady was a loyal sister, friend and teammate. She loved her friends, family, and her pets Jessie & Oreo. If you ever thought of saying an unkind word about one of her loved ones….”Lord have mercy on you” was written for just that purpose. She protected her family and friends and always kept their happiness close to her heart. She cared deeply for unwanted pets, and children with disabilities. Her heart was gold inside her Firecracker Frame…….

*It has been said: Daughters are a source of immeasurable joy for her parents. Long before a daughter is born, she is deeply loved. Daughters are often a mother’s best friend, her ally, and her most precious treasure. For a father, a daughter is often the apple of his eye, his princess. It is no surprise then, that a parent’s love for a daughter is so intense and selfless. For this reason, the loss of a daughter, this daughter has brought on a range of difficult emotions including numbness, guilt, anger, emptiness, disbelief and deep sadness. With our father in heaven above, please help us with this loss so that only her glowing happiness remains with us!

Cady Beth Housh, our love we will miss you fiercely and can’t wait to see you again!

Love Mom, Dad, Cole, Michael, Sara, Raegan, Sophie Jo, Todd, Karrie, Taylor, Grandma Carol, Grandpa Stanley, Dave & Doris Housh, Annie Becker, Uncle Bill & Aunt Lorraine, Tyler, Zackery, Debby, KC Legends Soccer Team, Sam, Simone, Dani, Meena and all of her long list of friends…
