Caitlyn Elizabeth Daley

Caitlyn Elizabeth "Snuggly" Daley, age 7, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at her home in Shawnee. Caitlyn was a first grader at Mize Elementary School. She loved bright colors, music, her cats, sharks, and Transformers. While Caitlyn's time on this earth was cut short by illness, she was known by all as a fighter who beat the odds time and time again. She touched everyone she met with her infectious smile and expressive eyes. Everyone who knew her is a better person for it, having learned pure, unconditional love and true honesty. She will be missed by many. A private memorial will be held later this week. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made in her name to the Discovery Room at Mize Elementary School in Shawnee, Kansas, or the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Caitlyn is survived by her parents, Christine and Sean Daley, and a large extended family, both locally and across the country.
