Carla Sue Mealman, 54, of Lenexa, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her home.

Carla was born March 12, 1963 to Leo and Donna Mealman in Baxter Springs, Kansas.  She graduated from Maranatha Academy in 1982.  Carla was an avid cat lover and adopted many cats over the years.  She loved being "Nana" and planning parties for her granddaughter Iris, who she loved "to the moon and back".

Carla is survived by her husband Garry Hoch; daughter, Tabitha Mealman and her fiancé, Matt Dirck; her mother, Donna J. Mealman; a sister, Karen (Kent) Weeks; brother, Mike (Shelby) Mealman; and her granddaughter, Iris Jean Mealman.  She is preceded in death by her father, Leo R. Mealman.

Visitation

A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee.
