Carol ” Sue” Van De Berghe

Carol ” Sue” Van De Berghe, 75, passed away July 22, 2017. She was born March 4, 1942 to Adolph and Julia Van Driesch in Kansas City.

She is survived by her grandson Ben, granddaughter Mahalia, as well as many relatives and friends.

She was predeceased in death by her son Michael, husband George, and sisters Margaret Deceuninck and Helen Davis.

Sue was active in animal rescue, especially Pug rescue. She was a wonderful caring wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Sue always had an open door, a big smile and encouraging words.

She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1959 and worked her entire career at the BNSF railroad starting in 1959 until she retired in 1999.

A memorial Mass for Sue will be celebrated by Fr. Kent O'Connor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 34th and Shawnee Dr., Kansas City, Kansas at 11:00 am. on Tuesday August 1, 2017, where Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, rosary recited at 10:30 am.
