Carol Ann Leshovsky, 79, of Prairie Village, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born April 4, 1935 to the late Wilfred and Rose Hartl in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1953. Carol continued her education at St. Catherine's College of Nursing where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1956.

On August 25, 1956 Carol married her high school sweetheart, Dale. She was a devoted member of Queen of the Holy Rosary parish. Carol worked as an Obstetrics nurse for Shawnee Mission Medical Center bringing babies into the world every day for over 35 years. Carol's compassion for her patients led her to be requested as a trusting nurse by many generations of families who relied on her expertise and commitment to her field. Carol also was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, constantly putting others' needs before her own.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale, of 58 years; five children: DeAnn Swofford and husband Mark; Steve Leshovsky and wife Stephanie; Cathy McLindsay and husband Brian; David Leshovsky and wife Kris; Lynn Williams and husband Charles; 14 grandchildren, Kristen, Morgan, Aaron, Steve, Christopher, Haley, Becky, Courtney, Logan, Hunter, Alyssa, Conner, Lindsey, Alison and many dear friends.

Visistation and Services

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Queen of the Holy Rosary, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church.
