Carol Lindahl

Carol Lindahl, 70, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away peacefully at home on Sunday October 30th, 2016.

She was born April 13, 1946 to Carl and Althea Keller Lindahl. She attended Chapman Schools and graduated with the Class of 1964. She graduated from the Salina Beauty Academy in 1967 and was the Manager/Operator of the Casual Curl Beauty Salon until 1972 when she returned to Kansas State University. She received her B.S. in Business Administration in December of 1975.

She then moved to Kansas City where she worked briefly as the Sales Coordinator for Farm Steel Co, and Office Coordinator for Royal American Steel. She then worked 2 years as a Research Assistant for Farmers Export Company. The next 25 years she enjoyed serving as facilities and telecommunications specialist at the Kansas University Medical Center retiring on disability in 2004.

Since then she enjoyed working in her yard and communicating with hundreds of “Friends” via Facebook. She always served as the family and Class of 64 historian keeping all of us in contact with each other.

Survivors include her brothers, Doug and wife Marlene of Enterprise and Kurt and wife Ziba of the Woodlands Texas, nephew Carl and Leah Lindahl and son Hunter of Saudi Arabia, and nieces Tara and Amanda Lindahl of Kansas City.

Memorial Services

Memorial Services will be held in Shawnee at 3:00 p. m. on Friday November 25th, at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, and in Chapman, KS at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 26th at the Londeen Funeral Chapel, 206 W. Fifth, Chapman, KS.

Memorials are suggested to the Shawnee Community Center Building Fund or the Chapman Area Preservation Society (CAPS).
