Carollyn Sue “Carrie” “Moonstar̶ Miller

July 21, 1941 — March 1, 2012

Carrie "Moonstar" Miller, 70, of Overland Park, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012.

Carrie was born July 21, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a lifelong Johnson County resident and graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1958. Carrie attended the University of Kansas School of Allied Health and became a paramedic. Carrie worked for KU Medical Center for over 20 years as a Phlebotomist and Cardiac Technician.

She was a caring and giving soul, and volunteered for many worthwhile causes including Camp Gaea and the American Stroke Foundation. Carrie was also a member of the Heartland Spiritual Alliance and founder of Gaea Goddess Gathering. She was a talented leather smyth and was very accomplished at celebrating life.

Carrie enjoyed being in nature camping and fishing with friends and family. She had a strong love of wildlife, and enjoyed turning her backyard into a flower garden where birds could find shelter and thrive.

Carrie is survived by her partner of 28 years Donna Crossley; her daughter Kolleen Arnold and husband Mace; son, Bear Miller; two brothers, Gary and wife Gayle Sunday and George and wife Jan Sunday; two sisters, Billie Johnson and Melody Sunday; four grandchildren, Albert, Jessica, Jacob and Kyle; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Ryan and many special nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Stroke Foundation, 5960 Dearborn Street, Suite 100 Mission, Kansas 66202.
